The label uses the same share of the available points as for a full scorecard. The moat is shown as evidence from the filings, without a score.

Business quality
A moat (a brand, a network, switching costs, patents, scale, a licence) is not a number in the filings, so Valerius doesn’t score it. Below are the figures and the words moat analysis starts from, from the company’s own 10-K filings. The conclusion is yours.
Return on capital, each year
Above 15% in 8 of 10 years (2016-2025); lowest 7.1%, highest 42.7%.
Gross margin, each year
Between 60.1% and 68.4% over 4 years (a range of 8.3 points).
Competition, in the company’s own words · 10-K filed Nov 14, 2025
Our primary competitors for coffee beverage sales are specialty coffee retailers and shops. We believe that our customers choose among specialty coffee retailers and shops primarily on the basis of product quality, brand reputation, service, and convenience, as well as price. We continue to experience direct competition from large competitors in the quick-service restaurant sector and the ready-to-drink coffee beverage market, in addition to both well-established and start-up companies in many international markets. We also compete with restaurants and other specialty retailers for prime retail locations and qualified personnel to operate both new and existing stores. Our coffee and tea products sold through our Channel Development segment compete directly against specialty coffees and teas sold through grocery stores, warehouse clubs, specialty retailers, convenience stores, and foodservice accounts and also compete indirectly against all other coffees and teas on the market.

Return on capital = operating income / (total assets − current liabilities), the ROIC row’s definition; 15% is the framework’s return threshold. Gross margin = gross profit / revenue. Both from each year’s 10-K via SEC EDGAR. Moat analysis commonly looks at whether returns and margins held up over many years. These figures don’t say whether the company has an advantage, what it is, or whether it will last.
Capital allocation, 2022-2025: dividends or buybacks paid in every year (pass); $16.32B paid out against $11.99B of free cash flow (fail: paid out more than free cash flow); total debt $23.80B to $26.61B, up 11.8%, 5.5x EBITDA (fail: up more than 10% and above 2x EBITDA); shares outstanding 1.15B to 1.14B, down 1.0% (pass). 2 of 4 tests passed; the framework scores that as 3.

These are events the company reported to the SEC. An auditor change or a late filing can have many causes; each date links to the filing, where the company explains it. Valerius does not score these.
Graham Formula:
IV = EPS x (8.5 + 2g) x (4.4 / Y)
EPS = $1.73, g = 0.0%, Y = 4.5
g floored at 0.0% (3-year EPS CAGR was -32.5%; below -4.25% the formula returns a negative value)
IV = $14.38
Current price $97.52 vs Graham value $14.38 — price is 578.2% above the model value.
DCF:
FCF/share = $2.689
Stage 1 growth = 1.7% for 5 years | terminal growth = 3.0% | discount rate = 10.0%
Y1: $2.735 → PV $2.486
Y2: $2.781 → PV $2.299
Y3: $2.829 → PV $2.125
Y4: $2.877 → PV $1.965
Y5: $2.926 → PV $1.817
Stage 1 PV sum = $10.69
Terminal value at end of Y5 = $43.05
PV of terminal value = $26.73
DCF value = $37.42
Current price $97.52 vs DCF value $37.42 — price is 160.6% above the model value.Data from yfinance summary figures and financial statements, and from the company’s 10-K filings via SEC EDGAR; computed at a price of $97.52. Every score is calculated from the figures by the framework’s fixed rules, and the explanation beside it is generated from the same figures: Graham value, DCF value, margin of safety, ROIC, profit margins, debt-to-equity, price-to-book, EPS trend, ROE trend, free cash flow, retained earnings and capital allocation. No AI is involved in this scorecard. The moat is shown as evidence, without a score. Read each score with the figures beside it. A check that cannot be scored from the available data is shown as not scored and left out of the composite score. Intrinsic value calculations are model outputs based on stated assumptions, not predictions.
